in times like this, I close my eyes.

and try to remember why I lived through the day.

what have i done to deserve another day?

I haven't met anyone new, nor have I lost any.

I failed a test and got humiliated in class.

and still have managed to remember the day.

and still...

have salvaged a new day.

wide awake I could remember.

and nights like this one..

makes me forget.
